I have been running Ubuntu on my XPS for some time now and as any other OS could possibly be, it is stable. With all of that said, for the humans like me who passed phase one of obtaining a unit of the xps-9570 that you are mostly satisfied with and is on phase to of customizing that laptop to make it meet your needs, if Ubuntu is part of that customization, it works. I do have a very small amount of the problems people complain about online, but for my system, the list of problems do not stack up as much as some of the other consumers of this product. I see allot of complaints online about this laptop and from my experience with it, I can tell allot of those complaints are true. My Dell XPS 9570 is what I would call 'not so bad'. The distro I use is the most popular, Ubuntu, but the system I run it on is a very controversial one. Each OS has their area of expertise and for what I do, Linux does it well.
